Birgit Hermann 

Is German and started working for Sidetracks two years ago. Birgit is an inspiration to anyone who ever wanted to leave their familiar life and reinvent themselves through an exciting new career. It all started as a participant on one of the ‘Natural Wonders of New Zealand’ Tours guided by Angelika. Birgit was instantly captured by the beauty and diversity of New Zealand and the interesting, if hard working, life of a tour guide. 

As expert in organization and leadership (she used to be a banker in Berlin) she made a decision and threw herself into her new chosen career. She soon acquired the necessary qualifications to be a tour guide in New Zealand and now she guides her tours with competence and responsibility and shows her love for New Zealand through her positive energy and knowledgeable commentary. 

When the guiding season in New Zealand ends Birgit currently flies back to Europe and works as a cycle guide in Greece – enjoying 12 month of summer every year!
