On our trips you’ll not only see the famous highlights, but also the less well-known treasures the country has to offer. All the places and people that so uniquely make New Zealand what it is and that we have uncovered after years of living in this beautiful country. Our small and personal tour company was founded on the passion and experience of Angelika Pastoors. She has been working in the Tourism industry for nearly 30 years and after managing a travel agency in Germany, she has now worked as tour guide for the past 20 years - 13 years in New Zealand. Our tour guides all know New Zealand "up and down" - the mainroads, the backroads, the highways, the ‘No Exit’ - roads and of course the hiking tracks. We enjoy sharing our knowledge of nature and the country with our participants and are all individuals who love nature and travel. It’s our job to ensure your trip runs without a hitch, and to make every day an unforgettable experience. Some of our trips are organised in co-operation with Trails Nature and Adventure Tours Ltd. Germany who we have worked with intensively for many years.

In the last years we have repeatedly received requests from Kiwis to explore our native Germany with us in the same way: through the eyes of a local. We listened! Now Sidetracks is excited to be offering its tours to Germany, beginning in the European summer season 2013. Most of the staff at Sidetracks are native Germans who have been living in New Zealand for many years. With us, you’ll feel right at home: we understand the ‘down under’ way of life and the German way of doing things too. So, if you are interested in visiting the heart of Europe – let us take you where the locals go!
